Xavio for users

Xavio is a stories-first social-commerce app. People post short, full-screen stories — and any story can become a product, booking, lead form, or live session. As a user, you browse, follow creators, react, comment, save, share, and shop — all in one place, all free.

This guide covers what Xavio is for, how to do everything you need, and what makes it different from Instagram, Facebook, or WhatsApp Business.

Who this guide is for

• You want to follow creators + small businesses and never miss what

they post.

• You want to shop directly from a story without leaving the app.
• You want a feed that's chronological and earned, not pay-to-rank.
• You care about privacy — you don't want to be tracked across the web,

and you don't want paid stalkers watching your stories anonymously.

• You like micro-recharges more than monthly auto-renew subscriptions.

What you can do — at a glance

Caps come from the live `tier_features` table. Anything labelled "—" is locked on that tier; everything else is the cap the tier carries.

How to get started

Sign up

1. Open <https://xavio.in> on your phone (or install the Android app).
2. Tap Sign up and choose Phone, Email, Google, or Apple.
3. Verify with the OTP we send.
4. Pick a handle (@yourname) and a display name.
5. Optional but recommended: add a profile photo and a short bio.

That's it. You're on the free tier — no payment info required.

Build your feed

Xavio's feed is a mix of who you follow and a recency-aware ranker that surfaces new + fresh creators. To shape it:

• Tap Follow on creators whose stories you like.
• Use the search to find businesses by name, category, or location.
• Save stories you want to revisit. Saved items sit in /saved.
• Mute creators you don't want to see for a while — silent, no

block-style notification.

Post your first story

1. Tap the + in the bottom bar → New story.
2. Choose image, video, or audio. (Audio stories are great for

short notes — like Twitter in voice.)

1. Add a caption. You can @mention other Xavio creators, drop

`#hashtags`, or paste a link — link previews unfurl automatically.

1. Pick your audience: Public, Followers, or Close Friends.
2. Tap Post.

Your story lives for 24 hours on the free tier. Plus and Pro can post longer-lived stories.

React, comment, share

• Tap-hold a story → reaction picker. Reactions are free and unlimited.

Animated hearts, stars, fire, party, gem, crown, etc. — same on every tier.

• Pull up from a story → comment thread. Public comments are visible to

everyone; **private replies** (poll votes, Q&A answers, voice replies, lead forms) are only seen by the creator.

• Tap share → forward to a friend, copy the canonical short link,

or share to WhatsApp.

Shop from a story

Many stories carry an attached product, service, booking slot, or buy now / book now / add to cart action. When the creator adds these, a small drawer opens from the bottom of the story when you swipe up:

• Product drawer — see the price, variants, gallery, and tap **Add to

cart** or **Buy now**. Checkout is UPI / cards / wallet / COD where the seller supports it.

• Booking drawer — pick a slot, confirm, get a calendar invite.
• Lead drawer — fill a short form (name + phone + optional fields).
• Live drawer — join a live session the host is running right now.

Your cart is shared across creators. Pay once and it splits.

Track your orders

Visit /orders to see what you've bought, booked, or are waiting on. Each order has:

• Status (placed / paid / fulfilled / shipped / delivered / completed)
• Tracking link when the seller adds one
• A direct WhatsApp button to the seller (if they connected one)
• A report problem action that opens a grievance with us as a fallback

Wallet and Coins

/wallet holds two balances:

• INR balance — top up, hold money to spend or tip.
• Coins — earned through engagement (posting, commenting, daily streaks,

leveling up). Coins **cannot be bought** on the Android Play Store version because of Google's billing policy on virtual currency. On web, top-up options may differ. Either way, Coins are the reward currency, not the paywall currency.

Why use Xavio

vs. Instagram + Facebook

• No anonymous viewing. If you watch a creator's story on Xavio, the

creator sees you in the viewer list. Always. See [/trust/viewer-lists].

• No paid feed slots. Premium tiers buy tools and analytics, not feed

position. The orbit ranker doesn't take paid input. See [/trust/reach].

• No paywalled vanity. Custom app icons, profile fonts, anonymous

viewing, animated paid reactions — none of these exist as a SKU. The consumer surface stays free; what Pro buys is utility (AI Smart Reply, priority support, early access).

vs. linktree / one-tap-bio tools

Xavio is a fully integrated feed. Your storefront, your stories, your comments, your DMs — all in one place under your xavio.in/u/<handle>.

vs. paying Meta ₹332/mo

Meta's "Plus" tiers cost around ₹332/mo for Instagram + ₹332/mo for Facebook (US$3.99 each at the global flat rate). Plus on Xavio is ₹99/mo or ₹29/week sachet. Pro is ₹599/mo or ₹169/week sachet. Both Plus and Pro are optional — you can run on Xavio for free indefinitely, and most people do.

Plans, prices, and pass modes

Three consumer plans:

**Sachet pass**: a one-time payment that activates the tier for 7 / 30 / 365 days. No auto-renew on a card. When the sachet expires, you drop back to the lower tier automatically. To stay on Plus or Pro, you buy a new sachet — same mental model as a mobile recharge.

To upgrade or downgrade: visit /plan. To buy a sachet pass: pick a duration in the same flow.

Real-estate users

If you're searching for property, Xavio shows you only verified RERA listings from real-estate brokers and builders. As a buyer, you don't need a Xavio plan to view listings or contact agents — it's free for property seekers.

Privacy

Your privacy controls live at /privacy. The settings cover:

• Visibility of your phone, email, photo, cover, bio, last-active

state, story views (the list of stories you watched), and follower list — all individually toggleable across **Everybody / Followers / Only me**.

• Communication — who can DM, comment, tag, mention you.
• Content — mature-content filter and muted keywords.
• Notifications — per-category opt-ins for email, SMS, and push.
• Data + retention — export your data, auto-delete inactive data,

delete your account.

• Payments — manage saved payment instruments.

We do not allow training-corpus LLM crawlers on your content (e.g. GPTBot, ClaudeBot, CCBot, Meta-ExternalAgent). We do allow **search-time citation** crawlers (OAI-SearchBot, ChatGPT-User, PerplexityBot, Claude-User, Googlebot, Bingbot) — these bring you traffic without burning your content into a model permanently.

Notifications

The bell in your top bar shows three categories:

• Engagement — reactions, comments, replies, follows on your content.
• Orders + bookings — when you bought something or are waiting on a

seller, when a slot you booked is approaching.

• System — security events, plan changes, recovery prompts.

Most notifications are **aggregated until first read**, so 50 reactions on the same story show as one bell badge until you open it.

Push and SMS preferences are controlled per category in /privacy → Notifications.

Safety + trust

• Verified badges: blue marks on creator profiles indicate Xavio

verified them by KYC. Real-estate listings also carry **RERA badges** (legally registered with the relevant state authority). Food sellers carry **FSSAI badges**. Tax-paying businesses carry **GST badges**. These are utility badges, not vanity — buyers should act on them.

• Reporting: every story, post, comment, and product has a Report

action. Reports flow to our moderation queue.

• Refunds: if a purchase doesn't go as expected, open the order in

`/orders` and tap **Report problem**. A grievance is filed; the seller gets a deadline to respond; if they don't, we step in.

Stories you can post

You can post any combination of:

• Image, video, audio, polls, questions, reactions, quizzes, "this or

that" — the standard creator toolkit.

• Lead forms (Plus+) — collect email, phone, intent on Xavio. Submissions

appear privately to you.

• Booking slots (sellers only) — viewers tap to book a time.
• Buy now / book now / add to cart actions (sellers only).
• WhatsApp CTA (sellers only).

All stories support `@mentions`, `#hashtags`, link previews, and celebratory effects (hearts, confetti, popper).

Streaks and XP

Your /streak page tracks daily activity. Xavio assigns XP for posting, commenting, voting, etc. — visualised as a level on your profile. Level-ups trigger a small celebration spotlight. None of this is paid; the only way to level up is to be active.

Plus and Pro — feature differences

If you're considering upgrading from Free → Plus → Pro, here's what each step unlocks:

Free → Plus

• 5× the daily caps on text / image / video / audio / poll stories.
• Zoom meetings scheduled from your stories — 4 per month, 45 min each.
• Live events — broadcast once a month, 30 min.
• Lead forms inside your stories — collect email + phone right where

someone watched your story.

• Flash audience burst — pin a story to non-followers' feeds for 24h.
• Premium badge on your @handle — a subtle marker that you're an

active creator.

• Upload size cap bumps to 100 MB.

Plus → Pro

Everything in Plus, plus:

• AI Smart Reply — Anthropic-backed reply suggestions when you're

replying to comments on your posts. 400 generations / month.

• Priority support — your tickets jump to the top of the support

queue.

• Early access — beta features unlock for you before general

availability.

• 10× the daily caps from baseline (so 2× Plus).
• 90 min Zoom meetings, 60 min Live events.
• 200 MB upload size.

If you primarily browse + shop, you'll never need Plus or Pro. The free tier covers all of that.

FAQ

Do I need to pay to post stories? No. Free users can post stories every day. Plus and Pro raise the daily cap and unlock Zoom + Live; they don't unlock posting itself.

Can someone view my story without me knowing? No. Every viewer appears in your viewer list. We don't sell an "anonymous viewing" SKU and don't plan to. See [/trust/viewer-lists].

Why is my reach lower than my follower count? The orbit ranker considers recency, engagement velocity, audience-segment match, and a small newcomer-seller boost. It does not consider paid promotion — there is no paid promotion. If your reach is lower than expected, post more often, encourage replies/comments, or shift your posting time.

Can I buy reach on Xavio? No. Premium consumer tiers do not buy feed position. Sellers can run ads through the advertiser surface, but ad delivery still goes through the orbit ranker — badly-targeted ads lose to good organic. See [/trust/reach].

Will my data be used to train AI? No. Our robots.txt blocks training-corpus crawlers (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, CCBot, anthropic-ai, Google-Extended, Meta-ExternalAgent, etc.). We do allow search-time citation crawlers because those send you traffic.

Can I delete my account? Yes. Visit /privacy → Data + retention → Delete account. This removes your profile, stories, comments, and reactions. Orders + invoices are retained for the legally-required period under Indian tax + commerce rules.

What happens to my Coins if I downgrade or my sachet expires? Coins stay. They are not tied to a plan; they're tied to your account.

Is there a Mac / iOS / desktop app? Web works everywhere. We ship an Android app via the Capacitor wrapper. iOS is on the roadmap.

Can I follow private creators? Yes — follow requests work the same as on Instagram. When approved, their Followers-only stories appear in your feed.
